No. Cue is completely invisible to screen sharing and recording tools. It won't show up in Zoom, Google Meet, or any interview platform — so the person on the other end has no idea it's there.
Does Cue record or store my conversations?
Cue does not store your conversation content on our servers. Any transcription history you choose to save stays privately on your own Mac and never leaves your device.
Why is Cue macOS-only?
The stealth overlay and system audio capture that make Cue undetectable rely on macOS-specific capabilities. Building on any other platform would mean giving up the core guarantee, so we chose to do it properly on Mac first.
How does live transcription work?
Cue listens to both sides of your call — your microphone and the audio playing through your Mac — and transcribes everything in real time, right inside the invisible overlay. No manual recording or post-processing needed.
Can I use Cue during a technical coding interview?
Yes. You can take a screenshot of a coding problem or paste it directly into Cue, ask for hints or a full solution, and read the response in the hidden overlay — all without switching windows or triggering any detection.
How do I share context like screenshots or files?
Open Cue with your keyboard shortcut, then drag in a file or click the screenshot button to capture your screen. Cue will include that context in its next response — great for code, error messages, diagrams, or anything on screen.
Does Cue work without an internet connection?
Live transcription and AI responses require an internet connection. The app itself will open offline, but those features won't be available until you're back online.
How is my privacy protected?
Your audio is processed by a trusted third-party transcription service and never stored. AI requests go through our secure backend so your credentials stay safe. We do not log or retain your conversation content.
What is the difference between the Trial and Pro plans?
Trial gives you 50 AI messages per month, 30 minutes of live transcription per session, one custom system prompt, and the stealth overlay — enough to evaluate Cue in real scenarios.
